Liberia is ranked number one in the world for helping strangers
Liberia has been ranked the best country in the world when it comes to helping strangers according to the 2019 World Giving Index report. Seven of the ten countries where people are most likely to help a stranger are located in Africa. Apart from Liberia, other African countries in the top 10 include Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Zambia.

The World Giving Index report is a report from the Charities Aid Foundation, a U.K.-based nonprofit organization. The report focus on three aspects of giving behaviour: Helping a stranger, Donating money and Volunteering your time.
