Nigerians in Hungary celebrates their National day with Cultural event

On October 6th, Nigerians celebrated their independence day with a cultural event at the Balassi Institute. The event was hosted by the Nigerian embassy in Hungary and was attended by Nigerians, Hungarians. There was a live performance from the Ekiti state cultural troupe invited from Nigeria. It was a good event filled with beautiful colours, music and cultural performances. A Hungarian tv station was also present.

About the National day.

On October 1st 1960, Nigeria got her independence from Great Britain. Nigeria is a secular multicultural and multireligious country. It has the largest population in Africa with 200 million people. There are more than 250 ethnic groups in the country and more than 500 languages spoken. The official language is English.
